If you started humming the above lyrics from Beauty and The Beast, you’re absolutely correct. This song brings me back to the 5 wonderful days spent in a Chateau de Carsix with Danielle & Colton, with all of their favorite people. It’s safe to say that shooting this wedding was one of the highlights of my year.
Getting a group of more than 30 people to take a week off and travel from Los Angeles to a little town called Carsix, in France is a big ask. Once you experience the warmth this couple radiates, it becomes clear that they intentionally built a community of ride or dies for life. At one point during the ceremony, they handed out personal letters handwritten to every guest, thanking them for their presence in their lives.
Usually, I play the role of an observer, documenting beautiful moments for one day from the outside looking in. When you imagine me, as a vendor, getting to share multiple meals with a group of people I barely knew, laughing so hard that tears stream down my face, you can easily see why this wedding has a very special place in my heart.
Now I’m back in LA, missing this priceless week in Carsix.
