New Year, new spouse, who dis?
I first met Solange while photographing her best friends bridal shower. Her vivacious energy makes her unforgettable. You see this photo below? The room had cleared out and there stood Solange with her boyfriend at the time, Adam. Most people see me with a camera and ask “where do you want me?”, “What should I do?” They showed me their hearts and in response, my shutter clicked to the beat of my heart. Sure, they’re not looking into the camera, but that look of emoji heart eyes in real life is not one that can be manufactured.
Fast forward to a year and a half later. Solange and Adam had a religious ceremony followed by a henna party and then, an epic wedding celebration on New Year’s Eve, a week later. Their venue of choice was Solange’s parent’s backyard. It’s the space that saw two friends grow into a love that joined families together. Solange and Adam, I feel so honored that you chose me to document the beautiful life you have created.
