When I think of an iconic Los Angeles location to shoot in, Griffith Observatory is in my top 3.
One of the surprising things I’ve learned while moving to LA is how gloomy late spring-early summer is. It usually goes away by the afternoon if you’re not into it. When I’m not playing with light, I actually enjoy shooting with a little fog in my photos. It has a moody quality that isn’t typically experienced in LA which is fun.
I suggested a sunrise start time at one of the most iconic Los Angeles locations I can think of–Griffith Observatory. As a fellow introvert, I resonate with the sense of peacefulness I experienced while photographing Hannah & Nick. If you want to escape the crowds and are willing to sacrifice a little sleep, sunrise sessions here is where it’s at.
